A small attempt to pen those precious moments that seem to go by all too quickly. Things that would easily be forgotten.....may they always be remembered....here's hoping this site never crashes. :)

BSF....Back in the swing of things!

This morning we finally got to go back to BSF. It started two weeks ago, but the first week I was out sick, and last week was our first JNJ Children's Consignment Sale of the season. We have another one in our town next week. The kids and I both had a great time. We are studying Moses this year. Which I believe covers Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers. KG came home today telling me she learned about Jonah....no Mosa! CT explained the whole story of baby Moses, and then at the end exclaimed, "And you know what....God had a plan!" It was precious!

This is the church where we attend BSF. If you are looking for a Bible Study to get involved in, I highly recommend this. They are held all over the country, it runs during the school year, and is off when school is off. Also, if you have small children from 2-5years, they have a WONDERFUL program for them too. Plus it's FREE!! They also have night classes, and classes for older kids.
CT and KG excited about returning to BSF!!
Sibling love.....this didn't last long. :)
KG and Mommy. CT took this for us.

Curious George Comes to Town

At 7:30 this morning, KG was in my room wanting to know if it was time to go and see Curious George. :) We got up, got dressed, had a little breakfast, and headed to the library to see Curious George, who would make his appearance around 10am. We were up in plenty of time. :)

Ms. Pat our Children's Librarian read us, "Curious George Gets a Medal".
Here comes Curious George.
KG could not contain her excitement and ran up to give him a hug. CT hung out in the background with me.
CT was more content to cover pictures of George with glue and glitter. He also made a medal just like George got that is hanging around his neck.
KG with Curious George......again. I think we had several photo shoots, and a lady from the paper took her picture also.
CT didn't want much to do with George, BUT he made sure George saw his new shoes! :)

The Big Apple!

Well, I am finally getting back to the blog. We have been out of town celebrating our 8th anniversary, and this week has been crazy. T and I headed to NYC to hang out and relax. We had a great time. We were also able to spend some time with my brother who lives there. It was great to see him!

View from our hotel. Ground zero 7 years later. They have built one building over to the right, but that is all so far.
T and I at the top of Top of the Rock. The view was beautiful from up there. I liked it better than the Empire State Building. There wasn't anything to block your view. It was really windy though.
View of the Empire State Building from Top of the Rock.
My brother Chris and me. Still super windy. My hair was everywhere!

U.S. Open. T and I headed to the Open on Monday. It was really cool. We watched Nadal play.
T surprised me and took me to Tavern on the Green for our anniversary. Had I known we were going I would have dressed a little nicer. :) T assured me that they would take our money no matter how we were dressed! ha!
The ceiling in the dining room.
View of the gardens from our table.

Crazy Times Square. There are so many people in this area at all times.
Macy's! :) and the Empire State Building.
Ellis Island. We took the boat over. I wanted to see this place since this is where my great grandfather came through. It was pretty cool to see.
The Statue of Liberty. I love her! :)
View of Manhattan today without the twin towers.
We were also able to take in several Broadway shows, but you are not allowed to take any pictures. So I followed the rules. :) We had a great time, and will be back soon I am sure! :)

First Day of Wee School!

Today was the last First Day for CT at Wee School. KG still has two more years. All of us were MORE than excited for Wee School to start back up. The kids loved their new teachers, classes, and seeing their friends. Mommy enjoyed a couple of hours to get some things done. Here's to another GREAT year!

KG and CT ready for Wee School!

Fabulous Family Fun!!!

The first weekend in August we packed up and headed out to the Ranch for a little family fun! Both of Todd's parents had a BIG birthday this year, so we got together to do a little celebrating! Since we had already celebrated Papa's birthday, it was Nana's turn. We had 18 total and had a GREAT time!

We all met in Tulsa and got a "little" bite to eat at Ted's Cafe Escondido! I love that place. Free sopapillas and homemade tortillas!
Taking a dip in the "stream" as CT calls it. The kids had a blast floating and riding in the canoes. There is also a rope swing down stream that they floated to and played on. Our time was cut short due to the torrential downpour that lasted 24 FULL hours.
Nana and Papa drug their blow-up slide with them. KG absolutely LOVES this.
KG coming down the slide.
CT making a splash!
Cousins Skylar and Landry
Uncle Greg, Daddy, and Papa cooking our dinner. :)
Cousin Riggs entertaining.
Some of the cousins hanging out in the bunkbed room. At one point I came in and they were jumping from that top bunk onto the big brown bed. We put a QUICK stop to that. Silly kids!
Papa and Nana blowing out the candles on their cakes!

Mighty to Save CT and KG Style!

The other day I was busy cleaning the house when I walked in to this taking place. It was so cute I had to video. CT is WAY into "playing" the guitar. KG is "playing" her broom guitar also. They put on a concert for quite some time. :) Enjoy!

It's Official!!!!

We have officially gotten our LID. That is our Log In Date- July 29,2008. This means that our wait time for our daughter from China has Officially started! As it looks right now it could be every bit of five years before we get our daughter. The referrals are coming very slow. Our prayer is that this would speed up soon, but there are no guarantees. In the mean time we will wait, and know that God's timing is the BEST timing. I will keep you posted on any news we hear.
