A small attempt to pen those precious moments that seem to go by all too quickly. Things that would easily be forgotten.....may they always be remembered....here's hoping this site never crashes. :)

A little Vay-Cay!!

This past week T had a week of vacation that we had to either use or lose. So we chose to use it. We packed up the fam and headed to Branson for the week. We used our timeshare week so we stayed for FREE. ha ha!! Not really fee seeing that we pay for it monthly, but anyway it was a great place to stay!

Some friends of ours came Sat/Sun and T played golf with them those two days. They had a great time, but had to cut their Sunday game short due to heavy rains.

T and Kam. Watch for her in the Pro PGA in the future. :)

One night we packed the kids up and told them we had a surprise night planned.
Our first stop was Shogun's. Here is our guy "entertaining" us before he cooked our meal.
Getting the grill good and hot!
The kids thought this was pretty cool.
Some of the best "Fri Ri" eva!
Onion volcano.

After dinner we headed down to Branson Landing for another surprise. We took CT to his first.
Ridemakerz. This was the same concept as Build a Bear, but you got to build a car. Really cool concept.
CT picked out the chassiz and the body for his car.
Next on to picking out his wheelz. We stayed with everything stock this first time. We can always upgrade later.
Daddy helping CT screw his car together.
CT with his finished product. It also makes noise and has flashing lights. He LOVED this!
Next we headed over for KG's first Build a Bear experience.
KG picked out her puppy and started stuffing. Here she is pushing the pedal that fills her dog up.
Daddy helping KG give her puppy a bath.
Miss KG with her finished puppy whom she named Sevey. We have no idea where this came from, but she was adamant about it.

Half way through the week Mimi and Poppi came up to stay the night. They took us to see Noah The Musical. It was FABULOUS!! Even KG sat through the whole thing without getting up. Of course M&M's at intermission helped a little. :)
Outside waiting on the musical to start.
Inside with Mimi and Poppi.

Toward the end of the week we took the kids to Steal Your Dollar City. :) AKA Silver Dollar City.
First ride in CT wanted to tackle a roller coaster. So T took him to one he was tall enough for. He was so excited. Too bad they didn't realize they were riding backwards. T said CT had a hard time keeping his head up, BUT he LOVED it. :) I rode it with him towards the end of the day, but we made sure we were facing forward.
KG on her first roller coaster. She liked this, the tea cups, and the swings, BUT that was about it. We took her on Fire in the Hole and the Log Ride. She screamed the whole time on both of them.
Spinning on the tea cups.
Daddy and CT riding the river raft. They got pretty wet on this ride.
CT won an OU basketball. He made both shots the first time. He was pumped!
Daddy and CT enjoying the fire and water show at Branson Landing. We ate at Texas Land and Cattle Co. It was good, but we had really slow service. So slow we saw the water show twice. It plays once an hour. We did get free dessert due to the slow service. :)
Here is our little bungalow that we stayed in for the week. They are really nice, and very roomy- Stormy Point.  We had a great time relaxing and just hanging out together!

Happy Resurrection Day!!

We had a WONDERFUL Resurrection Sunday!! We were able to spend the weekend with Mimi and Poppi. Church was a great time of worship, fellowship, and celebrating our Risen Lord!! I am so thankful that he is alive and living in me. What an Awesome God we serve. We also had one of our students pray to receive Christ this morning. That's what it's all about.

Last night we started off our Easter Celebration with a little dying of the eggs. :) After we got our eggs died, Mimi read our Easter story, and it was off to bed. CT was supposed to be going to sleep, but we heard him and Poppi up there laughing for a loooong time. :)

CT and KG dying their Easter eggs.
CT was excited about his loot from the Easter Bunny.

KG got upset with me about the flash on the camera. She said it was too bright. :)

CT and KG dressed up for the Celebration of our Risen Savior!!

Me and "Hedd-A" aka Heather. She joined our family for Easter lunch. We were happy to have her.

KG and Mimi waiting on the egg hunt.

This picture cracks me up. Double R as we call him was giving the kids "instructions" on how to hunt eggs. He was telling the boys that KG got to get a 10 second lead on them. They didn't buy it. ha!

On your mark, get set, GO!

And their off. We hunted eggs in the youth building again this year. It was wet and rainy here. We are praying for a pretty Easter in the park next year.

KG got the most eggs. She filled that bucket up 3 times.

Evan kept throwing KG on the bean bag. She thought this was fun, and kept insisting he do it over and over.

Catching up......

I am WAY behind on my blogging so I am playing catch up- as in there are several new posts.......

This week T took some vacation time. It's either use it or lose it, so we are using it. :) We headed down to OKC for a youth minister's meeting and to spend some time with Nana, Papa, and friends.

Nana and I took the kids to the dinosaur museum on OU's campus on Wednesday.

Here the kids are digging for dinosaur bones.
Future Paleontologists.
Hanging with the BIG guys!! :)

These suckers were HUGE!! His thighbone weighed 800 lbs.
We ended the day with good friends Brent and Keely. We had dinner at Iguanas and dessert at Cuppies and Joe. Highly recommend both if you are in the OKC area.

First Tooth.

CT lost his first tooth last Saturday. :( It had been loose for about a week. He was eating a waffle and noticed that he didn't have it anymore. So we are assuming that he swallowed it. ha!! We wrote a note to the tooth fairy explaining what happened. She totally understood and came through for CT. He was thrilled to find some bills under pillow. :)

CT with is loot. He was thinking she was going to bring him $100 bill. DREAM ON BUDDY!!
Snaggle tooth.

Spring Break

This Spring Break we headed down to Dallas to visit some dear friends. Our first stop was at JC's. We had a chocolate fest and visited the Dallas Arboretum. It was BEAUTIFUL!! We had a great time, from there we headed to Annette's. We also visited the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens-had a picnic and hit the local Krispy Kreme-a favorite!!

One of our many chocolate meals. This is "THE RECIPE"- Bernice's famous chocolate recipe for pancakes. CT was so excited that Bernice was making it this time. :) We also had chocolate pie and biscuits and chocolate gravy- Not all in one day of course.
Loaded up in the Tahoe headed to the Arboretum.
CT and Luke waiting patiently to go inside.
Stopping to smell the tulips.

I am so impressed the CT actually went in and touched the sheep.
KG steering Captain Hook's ship.
Hansel and Gretel's house.
Treasure Island.
JC and me hanging out on the lawn. It was such a pretty day.
Sharing icees. Well, the sharing part was a little hard for the little ones, but everyone got some.
KG, Mommy, and CT. The flowers were so pretty!!
Hiding in the bamboo. This was associated with a Japanese fairy tale.
Sweet Girl

There were tulips EVERYWHERE!! My favorite!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! No better way to celebrate than with a trip to Krispy Kreme. :)
Throwin' down the Kreme's. Of course they were WIRED afterwards.
Grace and CT. :)
Good friends and all our off spring.
Darla, Annette, and me.
KG and Grace enjoying their ice cream cones. Grace's is breaking. She was getting a little upset. :) I would have too.
CT and Aiden. Aiden's ice cream fell on that ball, and he licked it right off of there. Atta Boy-There is no need to let good ice cream go to waste. :)

We had such a GREAT time! Thanks for letting us come.
