A small attempt to pen those precious moments that seem to go by all too quickly. Things that would easily be forgotten.....may they always be remembered....here's hoping this site never crashes. :)

Blueberry Muffins and Humble Pie

Breakfast of Champions! Gatorade and Blueberry Muffins.
KG riding her 4wheeler and listening to some tunes. She has her cd player hooked onto the handle. :)
CT practicing his mad soccer skills.
Whew! Snack time.

Not much has been going on around here. We got up this morning and made blueberry muffins. Now before you get this big idea that we are Betty Crocker around here, we normally pull something out of the freezer and into the toaster. :) Today was a new day! ha! Also the kids wanted to play outside, but we have knock you down winds around here. Not to mention our neighbors dogs that run around the neighborhood and terrorize little children. Well, just my children seem to be afraid of them. So we opted for pulling the car out of the garage and letting them play in there. They have played a little bit of golf, baseball, soccer, and the riding of many vehicles.

CT decided that since he lost his soccer game last night that he needed to practice. We played a team that was older than us and they killed us. CT had a hard time at first. Crying everytime they made a goal. He toughened up the second half and decided to make the best of it. This was a good lesson for him though. A couple of weeks ago on the way to a game he asked us, "Why am I so good at soccer, and others are not?" Oh boy!! Well son...... we needed a little piece of humble pie. I explained to him that he was good at soccer, but there were others that were better than him. He was not so convinced until last night. :) It was hard to swallow, but he managed and was better for it. :)

Tomorrow we will be back to frozen waffles and wee school. ;)

Olive

This weekend Nana and Papa came to visit. They got to watch CT play soccer, and we took a trip out to the ranch. The kids LOVE to go out to the ranch. Nana was looking for some redbud trees to dig up and plant in her yard at home. They decided that was too much work, and they would just buy the rest. :) They did get home with one, so hopefully it will make it. While at the ranch the kids got to feed Olive the baby calf. Olive's mommy had two calfs and only wanted one. So they are having to bottle feed Olive. The kids thought this was really cool! Olive is about the size of a large dog right now. She is really cute. CT and KG also got to take a little ride on the four wheeler. Of course the ride wasn't long enough for either of them. :)

Let's Go Fly a Kite

KG not sure how this kite flying thing works.
Daddy and CT getting the kite in the air.
The kids got kites for Easter, so we thought we would try and fly them. It was so incredibly windy that the kites would go up quick, but would go in all kinds of crazy directions. It was hard to keep control of them. CT's kite broke, so we just had KG's. They thought it was fun for awhile, but were ready to go in because the wind was so strong. Welcome to Oklahoma!!!
