A small attempt to pen those precious moments that seem to go by all too quickly. Things that would easily be forgotten.....may they always be remembered....here's hoping this site never crashes. :)

Creek Week 09

This past week we loaded up and headed to The Creek, Falls Creek that is. :) We had a great week, but were excited to come home. The kids enjoyed hanging out with the "Big" kids. CT and KG both were setting up icee dates. :) They each had someone different taking them to get an icee each day. Good thing because I would have run out of $$$$, they charge $2 a piece for those things. They are really good, especially when it is 100 degrees outside.

This is a little hard to see, but this is our group from the week.

CT learned how to play speed. He would play anyone who would sit still long enough to play him.
KG loved helping in the kitchen. Here she is getting the cornbread casserole ready. She made two big pans full.
This is another reason she liked to be in the kitchen. COOKIES!!!
This was celebrity night. One of CT's favorites Wes-a-lee (aka Wesley) also dressed up as Spiderman.
KG was Cinderella, but a little shy about being in front of all those people. Takes after her mother. :)
Mimi sent a package. Here they are patiently waiting to tear into it.
Yipeeeeeee!!! Make up and the NEW Transformer we wanted. Thanks Mimi!! What a fun surprise.

Fun with Fabio!

Last week was VBS week. On Friday we had our big wrap up complete with a guest appearance from "Fabio". :) The kids had a GREAT week at VBS, and were very excited that Safari Joe's was the ending celebration. They had all kinds of creatures that you could pet. KG did pet the very large snake. Her daddy was shuddering while she did it. :) There was also a jupiter jump, hot dogs, and last but not least PONY RIDES!!!!
KG taking her very first pony ride. :) She was not quite sure at first. I told her I would walk with her. We got about two steps and she said, "Go Mom, I've got this." :)
KG already a pro!

This is CT's best friend Stephen riding the pony.

CT taking his turn.

CT's also a pro at pony riding.

The Cutting of the Tree.

A few weekends ago my parents and brother Chris came over for the day to hang out. The guys got the bright idea to cut down a dead tree, and away they went. They spent the whole afternoon out there (well, Chris did not-ha ha!!), but accomplished their goal. I came out just in time to snap some pictures. :)

Deciding exactly how it should be done.
Going for it.

Almost there......

Conquered!

This video is a little more exciting than the pictures.

Introducing...........

Our new sweet baby boy Deacon!! We will travel to get him in a couple of months. He is almost 18 months and is from the People's Republic of China. We are very excited, and can't wait to go and pick him up. He is a precious little boy who was born with cleft lip and palate. This will be a long road as far as repair is concerned, but we are so excited the Lord has given him to us. We will keep you posted when we get our travel approval.

The Maiden Voyage....

KG got her booster seat in the mail yesterday, and couldn't wait to take it for a spin. She was so excited when it got here that she sang about it for 30 minutes while I put it together. "I love, love, love, love, love, just love my booster seat!" Then today before we left she was standing at the door of the car squealing with delight about how excited she was to ride in that seat. ha!! We will see just how excited she is to ride in it when she is in the 4th grade. ha ha!! :)
All buckled in and ready to go!
