A small attempt to pen those precious moments that seem to go by all too quickly. Things that would easily be forgotten.....may they always be remembered....here's hoping this site never crashes. :)

Congratulations are in order!!!

I have been trying to get these pictures posted for over a week now. :) We finally finished up with our children's consignment sale that we run. It was fun, but VERY exhausting!!! We still have a couple of paperwork things to finish up, but for the most part it is over. So I am just now getting back to the blogging world. :)

For some of you that read this you will be a little shocked (because Chad is still little Chad to you (Patti)) :) Anyway he and Mandy got engaged last Friday night. We went over to Bentonville to their little engagement party. It was a lot of fun. I am super excited for them!!! I am looking forward to Mandy being in the family. :) I need some more girls around. T is a little worried this is going to cut into his Christmas presents. :) ha ha!! He is a dork. They plan on getting married June 2008. Chad took her to a park and told her they were taking pictures for a friend of his that needed pictures of young couples for some publication he was putting together. Mandy had no clue. So after they took several pictures Chad got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She was shocked and excited. He also planned the surprise engagement party. I'm pretty impressed with the boy!! :)

Boomer Sooner and Woooooo Pig Sooooie!

CT and KG with "Wilbur" at the county fair.
The smell in here was unbelievable!!! :)
All decked out and ready to go to Nana and Papa's to watch the Sooners whip Miami.

We are right in the middle of getting ready for our Jack n Jill children's consignment sale, so I have been slacking in the blogging area. :) Here are some pictures from a week or two ago. We had some friends invite us to the OU vs. Miami game. We had to leave at 5:45 am. So we got the kids up and dressed and ready to go. They were excited because they were going to Nana and Papa's house. They weren't too concerned what time it was. They did sleep in the car on the way down and some on the way back. Then when we got home we went out to the local county fair. This is where the Wooooooo Pig Sooie fits in. :) I have supposedly been brought to the "Promise Land", but I do still LOVE my HOGS!!! Anyway,we had several kids in our ministry that were showing pigs, cattle, and sheep. Very interesting!! T said that if there ever was a hell on earth for him it would be smack dab in the middle of the livestock barn at the county fair. He is a mess. Not your most animal loving type of guy. Anyway the kids loved the animals and wanted their picture taken with "Wilbur" from Charlotte's Web. Then afterward CT informed me that it was not the real Wilbur. :)

"Iguanas" AKA Awanas

CT hanging out before Cubbies.
CT with his friends meeting BIG Cubbie Bear. Ct wasn't real sure about him. He said, "He was BIG."
Cubbie Bear.
CT w/his friends.
The "coveted" VEST!!

CT started "Iguanas" last week, but I forgot to take my camera. So this week we took some pictures. He actually got his vest this week, so now he is "official". He was so excited! Now he wants to sleep in it. :) We will have to see about that. He also got a new pair of cleats that he wears every waking moment. So I'm sure his outfit for tomorrow (before I get a hold of him) will consist of an Awana vest and cleats. :) ha! He has also done very well at memorizing his verses. I was impressed.

Football-Larger than Life!

Today the Student Ministry got to feed to football team. CT was more than excited about it. He even put on the only shirt he had that resembled the teams jersey. (I'll have to work on getting him a Tigers jersey.) Of course when the team arrived he turned into Mr. Shy Guy. We did get some boys in our youth ministry to come over and he was happy to talk to them and discuss everyone's numbers on their jerseys. We had to fake him out to get a picture. I told him I was just taking a picture of him and Wesley stuck his head in at the last minute. CT thought it was pretty cool! He was ready to go watch them play right then. Daddy took him to the game tonight. He was pumped and ready to go!

Bowl-a-rama!!!

CT and Daddy bowling it up. Daddy threw his back out so he just watched. He was dying to get in there and play. :)
Jack and KG getting ready to play. KG didn't play at all. :)
Nee Nee and her mad bowling skillz!! I beat her. :)
STRIKE!!!!

This past Friday night we went bowling with some friends of ours. This was the first time for the kids to bowl. KG was more into running around and collecting things from the vending machines. :) CT is a bowling machine. We had two lanes. All the adults were on one lane, and CT had his own lane. We put the bumpers up for him. He bowled for 2 1/2 hours straight. He loved it!!

7 Wonderful Years!!

August 26, 2000 After the reception.
August 26, 2000 It's official!
Summer of 95. Youth interns.
Summer of 95. Youth interns.
December 31, 1999 The night we started dating.

Today is T and I's 7th wedding anniversary. I cannot believe how fast it has gone. I had a friend who posted on her blog how she met her husband, so I thought that would be fun. T and I were both summoned :) to work as youth interns in the summer of 95. I was in Dallas when T arrived so my Dad and one of my brothers went over to meet him and help him move in. I don't remember the first time that I met him, but I do remember the first couple of weeks that we worked together were VERY rocky! I did not like him one bit, in fact I tried to get him fired. I went to Bill (the youth minister we were working for) and told him that one of us had to go, and it was not going to be me. I don't really recall why I did not like T, but I'm sure it had something to do with the fact that he could put me in my place. :) In a loving way of course. Bill specifically told me that we would get married one of these days. I laughed at him and told him that would be a cold day in you know where. :) Well, I figured since I was stuck with him for the summer I might as well make the best of it. :) Actually we had a GREAT summer. We ended up becoming really good friends. We kept in touch on and off over the next 5 years. That's when T was living in Tennessee and needed a last minute replacement for someone to come out and help lead a girls group at his disciple now. So he called me and I was thrilled to take a couple days off from teaching. I headed out there and had a great time. I hardly saw T at all that weekend, but when I stepped on the plane to head home, that's when I felt the Lord speaking to me and telling me that was who I was going to marry. Of course I had to argue with Him too, because He couldn't possibly know what he was asking. :) ha!! Well, it's funny how God changes your heart. The Disciple Now was in October, we started dating the very end of December, and were engaged on Feburary 29th. (Yes he only has to remember that date every 4 years :) ) We were married in the church where we worked together and yep you guessed it Good old Bill did the honors. I have fallen more and more in love with T the longer we are together. Don't get me wrong we are not perfect and have our moments, but we are good together. God has given us two beautiful children, and a wonderful place to serve Him. I wouldn't change it for the world!!! Happy Anniversary Honey!! I love and respect you more and more every day. Thank you for loving Jesus and leading us to do the same. I am so blessed!! Ok I found some pictures of T and I back in the day when we use to work together. :)

Water Ride

CT was determined to ride the water ride so he talked his Daddy into riding with him. I think they rode it 3 times in a row. Then to CT's luck Daddy left his hat there and had to go back and get it. So he got to ride it again. :) He would have stayed on it all day if we had let him. He was none to happy with us when we had to leave the park.
