A small attempt to pen those precious moments that seem to go by all too quickly. Things that would easily be forgotten.....may they always be remembered....here's hoping this site never crashes. :)

Personal Showers, Black Eyes, Funerals, Weddings, and a Birthday!!

KG's black eye.
The culprit of the black eye. :)
ME and T headed out to the wedding.
Table I did for the personal shower.....

Cookies I made for the personal shower. I went to order some and they wanted $15 a dozen. I'm too cheap I guess. :)

I will have to say that this past week was one I would not want to do over anytime soon. Last Sunday we found out that one of our senior girls was killed in a car wreck. It was very shocking to me because I had just been with her in Sunday School that morning. It is weird to think that she only had 6 hours left to live at that time. You just don't ever know. She was a believer and would not come back for anything in this world. T had the priviledge to do her funeral. This was the first one he had done by himself. He did a great job, and presented the gospel. He thinks there were 20-30 people who accepted Christ as a result of Jessica's death. If you are reading this right now and are unsure of where you are headed when you die I would love to share with you how you can have a personal relationship with Christ and be secure in where you are going when you die.
While T was dealing with the funeral I was in charge of a personal shower. So I was busy getting that ready. It was fun and everyone had a great time! Then on Saturday we went to the wedding. I wish I would have taken my camera. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever attended! Maybe I can get some pictures from the bride when they get back from their honeymoon. The kids went to my parents this weekend so we were childless. They had a good time. KG turned 2 on Saturday. T was a little upset with me b/c we weren't even going to see her on her birthday, but for several reasons we are not having her party until this weekend. She will never know the difference. :)
On top of everything else we got a blackeye this week. CT and KG were playing horsie. CT rared up and the two of them hit heads. She was pretty shaken up and it swelled up real fast, but it is slowly going away. The best part was we had a 2 year check up with a doctor we had never met before. :) Everyone we saw asked what happened to her. She would just look at them and say, "Bubba".
Ya'll have a great week!!!

That is SO sad about the girl in your youth group. You really do never know how much time you have left. But what a blessing to see people saved - I'm sure she would be thrilled.
Those cookies are SO cute. You could open a bakery! And the table is cute also! Hope ya'll enjoyed a little bit of "childless" time!

Sorry to hear about that. Thanks for sharing though...it is a reminder of the important things in life. I will be praying for you both as you help your students get through a tough time.

Glad to see my kids isn't the only one getting so many bruises.
