A small attempt to pen those precious moments that seem to go by all too quickly. Things that would easily be forgotten.....may they always be remembered....here's hoping this site never crashes. :)

Happy Halloween!

CT and KG READY to go trick-or-treating!
Sami and CT rootin' on those Sooners.
Mommy and CT. CT begged me to dress up.
Mommy and KG. She was a little overwhelmed by all the people.
KG ready to drive. :)

Well, Halloween finally arrived and the kids could not have been more excited! I think CT asked me every 5 minutes if it was time to go yet. I put them down for a nap and when they woke up it was time to go. Thank goodness. We ran over to the neighbors behind us to see them. Sami just happened to be an OU cheerleader so she and CT thought that was pretty cool. She put an OU tattoo on his face. He was thrilled! Then we headed to the church for trunk-or-treat. The line was forever long, but we made it through and collected more than enough candy! Fun was had by all! Now to figure out how to dispose of the candy w/o eating it. :) Happy Halloween!

This weekend we had KG's 2nd birthday party. Her birthday was actually last Saturday, but we had to wait a week for several reasons. She didn't know the difference. :) KG said she wanted a "mouse" party so Mickey Mouse party we had. She had a lot of fun, was a little on a sugar overload, and in desperate need of a nap. :) She got some sweet gifts, T's Aunt Judi gave her a gold bracelet that had been hers as a little girl, and Uncle Chad made her a music video that also included raw footage from her first birthday party. It was precious! He did a great job! Thanks also to all those who donated to KG's college fund. :) Her Daddy was thrilled! :)
We are so thankful for this precious child and look forward to the many blessings she has to bring! Happy Birthday Sweet girl! Mommy and Daddy love you!

Save the Drama for your Mama!

KG enjoying her Mickey Mouse Cookie.
KG and her little Wee School Friends.

CT after getting his flu shot.

Yesterday I took Mickey Mouse cookies up to KG's Wee School class in honor of her birthday. She was more than excited! Note to self: 2 year olds and black icing don't mix real well. I'm sure their parents were thrilled that they had black icing all over them when they came to pick them up. We scooted on out of there before we could find out. :) After Wee School we headed out to get our flu shots. I had gotten mine that morning, but I took the kids back to get theirs. CT went first. He cried a little, and then got over it. KG did the same, but when CT heard her crying I think he decided that he needed to play it up some more. You would have thought they cut his arm off. Granted my arm is sore, but not that bad. He came home and got on the couch and propped his arm up on a pillow while he watched Backyardigans. It was pure DRAMA!!! :) Then he got better, but when Daddy came home he started crying again when he told him about it. Oh my........ He is all better today. Thank goodness. :) The sad part is when I got my booster shot at 5 I remember coming home and laying on the floor with my arm propped up on a pillow. I was probably pretty dramatic too. :) I wonder where he gets it sometimes. ha!!

Personal Showers, Black Eyes, Funerals, Weddings, and a Birthday!!

KG's black eye.
The culprit of the black eye. :)
ME and T headed out to the wedding.
Table I did for the personal shower.....

Cookies I made for the personal shower. I went to order some and they wanted $15 a dozen. I'm too cheap I guess. :)

I will have to say that this past week was one I would not want to do over anytime soon. Last Sunday we found out that one of our senior girls was killed in a car wreck. It was very shocking to me because I had just been with her in Sunday School that morning. It is weird to think that she only had 6 hours left to live at that time. You just don't ever know. She was a believer and would not come back for anything in this world. T had the priviledge to do her funeral. This was the first one he had done by himself. He did a great job, and presented the gospel. He thinks there were 20-30 people who accepted Christ as a result of Jessica's death. If you are reading this right now and are unsure of where you are headed when you die I would love to share with you how you can have a personal relationship with Christ and be secure in where you are going when you die.
While T was dealing with the funeral I was in charge of a personal shower. So I was busy getting that ready. It was fun and everyone had a great time! Then on Saturday we went to the wedding. I wish I would have taken my camera. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever attended! Maybe I can get some pictures from the bride when they get back from their honeymoon. The kids went to my parents this weekend so we were childless. They had a good time. KG turned 2 on Saturday. T was a little upset with me b/c we weren't even going to see her on her birthday, but for several reasons we are not having her party until this weekend. She will never know the difference. :)
On top of everything else we got a blackeye this week. CT and KG were playing horsie. CT rared up and the two of them hit heads. She was pretty shaken up and it swelled up real fast, but it is slowly going away. The best part was we had a 2 year check up with a doctor we had never met before. :) Everyone we saw asked what happened to her. She would just look at them and say, "Bubba".
Ya'll have a great week!!!

Ashes Ashes

KG's new favorite game is ring around the roses. When she want to play she puts her hands up and starts saying, "Ashes, Ashes". So CT was kind enough to play with her for a while. That is until he got hurt. :)

Congratulations are in order!!!

I have been trying to get these pictures posted for over a week now. :) We finally finished up with our children's consignment sale that we run. It was fun, but VERY exhausting!!! We still have a couple of paperwork things to finish up, but for the most part it is over. So I am just now getting back to the blogging world. :)

For some of you that read this you will be a little shocked (because Chad is still little Chad to you (Patti)) :) Anyway he and Mandy got engaged last Friday night. We went over to Bentonville to their little engagement party. It was a lot of fun. I am super excited for them!!! I am looking forward to Mandy being in the family. :) I need some more girls around. T is a little worried this is going to cut into his Christmas presents. :) ha ha!! He is a dork. They plan on getting married June 2008. Chad took her to a park and told her they were taking pictures for a friend of his that needed pictures of young couples for some publication he was putting together. Mandy had no clue. So after they took several pictures Chad got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She was shocked and excited. He also planned the surprise engagement party. I'm pretty impressed with the boy!! :)
