A small attempt to pen those precious moments that seem to go by all too quickly. Things that would easily be forgotten.....may they always be remembered....here's hoping this site never crashes. :)

"BBS"aka"VBS"

This past week we had VBS at our church. It was a great week, but I am glad it is over. I am tired! CT and KG had a wonderful time. CT loves to go to anything that might be "school". Let's hope he is this excited when kindergarten rolls around. :) Anyway on Friday T went to CT's class to lead the music. CT was so excited when T walked in that he didn't even notice that I came with him. He announced to his class, "Look my Daddy's here to play his gootar. " The kids had fun and also pulled out their own musical instruments that they had made this week. One little boy kept putting his hand up to T because he wanted to sing a different song. He would then as loud as he could sing it over the top of T singing. It was pretty funny. What a special time!

Daddy's Day!!

Yesterday morning CT woke up extra early to be able to give Daddy his present before he left for church. (T has to be there by 7:30 am) We went and got his present on Thursday. I was afraid CT would spill the beans. Not that T didn't know what we were getting him anyway. :) Thursday night at dinner CT announces that we got Daddy a present today. He was really good after that and kept quiet, so on Sunday morning I told him it was time to give Daddy his present. He was really excited. When T opened it CT said, "Look Daddy we got you a weed weeder." Aka a Leaf Blower. :) T thought that was pretty cute what he said so he would ask CT to tell people what he got his daddy for Father's day. Then last night we had a cook out with some friends. We had a good time, and the kids and I took a quick dip in the pool. It was a little cold. KG couldn't decide if she wanted in or out. I finally took them out, got them dried off, and changed. Then we just lounged by the pool. Tough life! Also is a rare picture of CT close to an animal. ha ha!! Those of you that know him know that he is not a big fan of animals. He kind of likes Sam though. :)

Over the River and Through the Woods to Grandmother's House and Dallas we go!

This past weekend we left Oklahoma City and headed for Dallas. On the way we stopped at Grandma's house and had a WONDERFUL lunch!! The kids ate like champs, and CT especially liked the warm banana pudding. It was awesome! KG refused to take a picture with Grandma so we finally got her to lay down beside her. Who knows. She has a mind of her own these days. :) Once we got to Dallas we went to Ya Ya and Pops (Jennifer's Parents- My best friend from college.) 60th Surprise Luau Party. It was a lot of fun. Mimi and Pop met us there. Our families go WAY back. They were VERY surprised! We also got to see Patti and Greg. Then on our way home we ran into Patti again at Wendy's in McAllister. It was crazy! So we all had a quick dinner and then headed on our way. It was great to see everyone. Now we have a slow week with VBS next week. :) Fun! Fun!

Pictures of Memaw/Zoo/Splash Park

Gorilla Phobia!

Today Nana took us to visit T's Memaw in OKC. It was great to see her. She was quite surprised to see all of KG's curls. :) Then we headed off to the zoo. CT was dying to see the lions so we had to practically head straight there and not look at anything else. After that we went to see the Gorillas. Nana was holding KG up close to the window when the BIG Daddy Gorilla started charging toward the window and then threw his shoulder into it. All the kids screamed and KG was terrified. She shook for the next 30 minutes. She kept saying, "Bye, Bye". She was ready to go. Luckily CT did not see it. Other wise we would have had to put him in counseling. He is already scared to death of dogs. They rode the Carousel and Train and CT said his favorite animals were the BIG GIANT Sea Lions. They were pretty cool.
Tonight we headed over to the Splash Park! It was awesome. Even though it was cold the kids didn't care. Skylar and Landry the kids cousins came into town. So they all got to hang out together. They had a BALL!!! I will have to post pictures in the next post.

blah!!

Well, a lot has happened since the previous post. I woke up Sunday night with the stomach virus and was sick all the next day. The kids and I were here in OKC, but they did really good. Until the end of the day when CT realized that I was unable to get up and discipline him. I asked him not to do something and then he said, "Well, you can't get me." Papa took care of him when he got home. :) Tuesday we took the kids to the park, and on Wednesday we went to see Daddy at camp. The kids were thrilled to see him. He will be home tomorrow, but we are headed to Dallas for a Surprise birthday party. Today we were able to go and visit with a friend of mine that I taught with in Ponca City. She has a little boy about 6 months younger than CT and she has 4 month old twin girls. She has her hands FULL. The boys had a blast playing together and KG played with everyone. It was great to see them. The pictures are from the park and CT and Colin playing together.

Summer Kick Off

OK I'm going to join the blogging world. I think years down the road this will be fun to look back on. I will try and do my best to keep up with it. :) Not that many people will be reading it. ha!Well, summer is finally upon us. T has left for the first of three camps, and we have headed down to Nana and Papa's for the week. CT was so excited he had a hard time falling asleep last night. We are going to be visiting old friends and just hanging out. We of course will go over and see Daddy. I'll post more of our adventures this week. Today the kids and Nana played outside, and had a ball!
